This family Domaine has no less than sixteen generations of winegrowers. Pierre Gauthier, who is now in charge, decided in 2000 to convert his entire farm to organic farming. Now supported by his children, Rodolphe and Sophie, he cultivates their 20 hectares paying great attention to tillage, in particular ploughing on horseback. The family has long been cultivating in mixed farming, thus preserving the biodiversity of this exceptional terroir where the Cabernet Franc gives the best of itself. The Bel Air estate is one the flagships of the Bourgueil appellation.
